Ordered gyoza appetizer and some sushi (Toni roll and Caterpillar roll I believe) for dinner. Drinks never went empty, appetizer and sushi were both delicious. Definitely recommend!
Maybe it was just a bad night. We went to dinner tonight at Ichiban. We ordered spicy salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, california rolls, shrimp tempura roll, and a dream roll. We also had chicken pad thai, teriyaki beef, and general tso’s chicken. The place was busy and we waited a few minutes to be seated but nothing unexpected. We were all looking forward to the food as we had heard good things. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. The spicy tuna rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, and dream roll were all pretty good though nothing special as compared to what I’ve had elsewhere. The spicy salmon rolls were disgusting. I’m not sure what they used that was supposed to be salmon but it didn’t look like salmon and was not good. Other than the spicy salmon, the rolls were all good. The entrees were another story. The beef teriyaki was so tough and flavorless that it was unedible. The pad thai needed a half of a cup of soy sauce to have any flavor, and not spicy at all even though it was ordered extra spicy. The general tso’s sauce was good, though not spicy at all, but the quality of the chicken pieces varied greatly. Some were good. Some were so bad that they were just spit out. Service was good the entire evening.I guess people go for the sushi. I would never go back for an entree again. Yuck.

After one bite I said I didnt like it to the waitress and wanted to exchange for something else but she told me I had to pay for that dish. I said im not paying for something that bad. I asked for manager and she said fine but I had to pay for the salad and soup that came with it even if I got another meal. Thats not customer service for any restaurant. Sammy used to be more personal and take care of his customers but I see that lacking.
