Great, fresh Chinese food with a unique and refreshing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to anyone who values diversity in their experiences with Chinese food and want something more than just food that tastes the exact same at every buffet.
Awful!. This place is disgusting! Reading the reviews, one can see the only way it stays open is people who have been eating it for their whole lives. The decorum is as behind the times as a North Korean hospital, the buffet food is not rotated often, and the bathrooms are disgusting.I recommend passing. If you’re forced to eat here, I highly recommend ordering off the menu to get food made with the last hour.
Awesome!. A timeless classic. Try eating in the bar. Jimmy is great!
Dislike eggrolls. Yeaterday I picked up port fried rice, pot stickers which was excellent, and 8 egg rolls, the 8 guest I had for dinner, could not eat the eggrolls, all had a taste of cinnamon, very distastfull, very disappointed customer…..please bring back original egg rolls
Authentic Cantonese & Best Eggrolls EVER!. Been eating here for over 50 years and it is wonderful! Who gives a rip about decorating and furnishings when you are getting a great meal every time and never in 50 years a bug in our food (unlike their competition). Love it and hope the recipes never change. If you are overwhelmed by the menu (previous comment) then get the dinner for 2, 3, 4, or ? and you will get a variety of dishes to try. Faves include Mongolian Beef, wonton soup, EGG ROLLS to die for……..ask for help and they will make suggestions. Kenny is the best waiter, FYI!
A truly special restaurant.. My experiences at Lotus Garden have always been excellent. The food is superior. But its the lien table cloths and wait staff that make this place. And the decor is a blast from the past – in a good way. Its the only Chinese restaurant I go to that still puts rolls on the table. As noted elsewhere, they need to clean the place up a little. The neon sign was only half working last time I was there. The exterior of the building could stand a coat of paint. But I hope they keep the interior as it is. Its beautiful.I just wish it was closer to Fishers. While our local King Chef is outstanding. They just don’t have the feeling of walking into Lotus Garden.
You are here for the food and service. You’ll need to get past the decor to truly appreciate this place… it is 1968/1972 all over again and the Koi pond, though a potentially nice touch, could sure use updating. But, you are here for the food and the service! And the food and service is wonderful! The Lotus Fried Rice is wonderful, so is General Tso and his chicken. The Egg Drop Soup is the best I have ever had. This is fantastic Chinese/american food, done right. And top notch service. Enjoy the food and the service and keep coming back… just ignore the decor. 🙂
