    Always the best ice cream.

Good.. This place always has a crowd around it. I’m convinced that even in the winter, I’d still see a line standing outside. We took our kids here and maybe it was just my head being in a fog that day, but I kept scanning the menu for a standout item and didn’t really see any. The ice cream I ordered was soft serve laced with a syrup of my choosing (I choose blackberry). I don’t even know if they have hand-scooped ice cream there, but the line threatened us to move along at a pace where I didn’t feel like I could ask too many questions to the friendly window cashier. The outdoor dining area was next to a small creek and seemed very nice, but our kids got fussy so we had to quickly go and eat our ice cream in the car. I might have to try this place again but we find it hard to justify coming back down here for ice cream that is pretty much identical to the Dairy Queen recipe of soft serve (milk, sugar, corn syrup, stabilizers). If I want all the flavor and texture of an ice cream treat, I’d rather have Ritter’s Frozen Custard (butterfat, eggs, milk, sugar) instead.

Ah, nostalgia. I grew up coming to Mrs Curls. My sister and I would sing karaoke on summer nights. The ice cream is really good and very reasonably priced. I will always love this place 🙂

Whats not to love. Ive nvr eaten their food….i am not big on grease pit food (i.e. all fried in grease and white bread buns), but the extensive & inexpensive menu is nice. Love the choc soft served dipped in pnut butter topping. There is no place like this & nowhere else to get the type of ice crm selections that they have. Its a twice a month must for us during their open season

Yum. Finally made it down there on the south side for the first time last year…and had to go back about 3 more times that summer! Good soft serve, great fries, hot dogs, and fun nostalgic atmosphere. Can’t wait for them to reopen again for the season.

Delicious and Friendly!. I finally went to Mrs. Curl’s today for lunch! It is a nice patio set up in the back near a creek and have a little fountain installed there. I ordered the breaded tenderloin meal with their signature curly fries and a chocolate fountain soda made with their vanilla soft serve. Their fries were extremely tasty and I didn’t even need ketchup. You could tell they were fresh! I ordered the tenderloin because a co-worker said that is all she eats there (besides the ice cream of course!) and it didn’t disappoint. It was cooked to a perfect golden brown and the bun had a slight sweet taste too it that went well with the tang of the mayo. The chocolate soda was awesome, and their soft serve is simply amaaazzzzing! They’re extrememly inexpensive and they allow dogs out on their patio! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their ice cream offereings, and I’ll be sure to take the hubs and the pug next time!
