The food was flavorful and fantastic. Our waitress asked if we had been there before and when we said know she made some great suggestions. Later, the manager came out after hearing we were new customers and welcomed us!!!

Hostess not too hospital, brought one hot sauce to table with multiple people, when asked for more handed attitude.

Nothing sets it apart from your local Mexican joint. On the Border is *usually* really bland and boring. Mexican food hasn’t had a lot going for it in general and On the Border was an answer to a question nobody asked. The decor is nice, but then again so is Lindo Mexico on Emerson. The salsa is way too sweet but they put chopped up onions in it to hopefully mask the literal tablespoons of sugar hidden within. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich which was actually a very good attempt at putting a slight spin on a staple food within ethnic Cuban neighborhoods. The pork was juicy enough and there was a good helping of cheese and the pickles were, well, pickles. But anyway, I was very pleased. My wife got the enchiladas which she described as extremely bland and questioned why she even got them in the first place. Otherwise, this service was nice and the bill was pretty reasonable, but I don’t think there is any real reason to drop your favorite local Mexican place for this place.

I wanted to try this place because it looked like a good place to eat at. Its a big restaurant which is good for partys. I ordered the Mexican dinner, it came with a taco, beans and Mexican rice. The taco was good, I would order just the taco again. There was a tiny bit of rice that was ehh, and the beans were so so. I probably wouldn’t order it again, maybe the Avon one will be better. But its great for partys, I wouldn’t get the Mexican dinner if I were you.

The chicken fajita dish is terrible. Processed, fake like chicken with a terrible smoky flavor is used. At least they give you some nacho cheese too disguise the flavor of that chicken. The beef brisket items are very good, I recommend the beef of you absolutely must eat here
