We’ve always had great service here. We go just about every Friday for dinner, and we drive from Fountaintown to eat here. They have the best salsa. While, yes, a lot of these Mexican places seem to be the same, they have much more flavor in their food than El Rodeo or El Jaripeo. There are very subtle differences, but we love Puerto Vallarta. The only other Mexican restaurant that compares in flavor is the one down the street from Ft. Ben.
Food was okay, nothing special. The place is small so it feels too crowded all the time. While you’re waiting to be seated or to check out, you have to move out of the way of staff quite a bit. They’re always running around and they make you feel like you’re in their way but there’s no where to go. I also don’t appreciate my plate being thrown on the table and then the waiter running off. I’ve been there a few times and felt the staff was rude each time. I gave them a chance but I won’t go back.
This is our favorite place for Friday night dinner. The food is good and service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and take very good care of your dinner needs. My favorite dish is the Enchala Ranches and my wife likes the Hawaiian Plate. See you there Friday for dinner and a cold beer.

It was worst service I’ve ever received. Have been a regular customer since they opened. I told server thank you 3xs and he just smirked. Asked to talk with manager he got someone who wouldn’t even give their name and he sided with waiter. All I ask for was an apology from waiter never would apologize. Guy that was supposedly manager said he didn’t speak English?Funny I heard him speak English to other customers and a lady with 3 children was in there and he was rude to her also. Told Manager?wouldn’t be back he just said ok!Didn’t try at all to resolve complaint. Very disappointing when you have eaten there since day 1 then to be treated so rudely!!!!!!
Excellant as always!. Had dinner with my sister there last night. Service was excellent! Food was great! Staff was friendly and very helpful. I eat there fairly frequently and have never had a bad, or even questionable experience at Puerto Vallarta.
Poor customer service. Our family – 15 of us – have been regular customers – and on a weekly basis for 2 years. asked for a table for 11 for tonight and was told we could only dine for an hour – due to it being a week end night. have eaten out – yes on some week ends – for over 50 years and have never been presented with that limitation before. we went elsewhere. sorry customer service!
