A friend and I went last night before theband started….ordered a couple of drinks…played some pool and rocked out with the band. We had a blast! Everyone was nice, cover was no big deal…They didn’t overcharge me. We will be back!
Pretty Good Place to Unwind. I can’t believe all of these negative reviews. My wife and I go there all the time to listen to live music and they always have a good band. The food is good, the drinks fine and the servers work hard and aren’t difficult to look at either. If you can’t afford a lousy $2 cover then get there before they start it like we do, or rent a movie out of Redbox and stay home, It’s a great place for trivia and DJ bingo which we enjoy as well. Quit yer bitchin, That Place rocks.
Horrible….Rude. Very rude, disrespectful….also they put about half a shot of liquor in the drinks and charging $5 per bomb. Ridiculous…and then when I question then about it they get rude and say well we can give you less red bull agree I spend over $120 at the bar. Stupid. Not worth the waste of time and money.
Very rude and disrespectful staff.. We have been coming to That Place for months to play trivia on Tuesdays and would NEVER come to this place except for supporting Indy’s Live Trivia. We are constantly treated with disrespect by the owner. The service is absolutely terrible, yet we still order lots of food every time and tip way beyond what we think is fair. Because we do not always care to drink alcohol while we are here (because of allergies and personal reasons), we do usually order water. In recent weeks, we have been singled out as a group and made to order and pay for bottled water, yet we see multiple groups that are allowed to order tap water. We are also typically one of the first groups here for trivia, but we have come to be the last one to always have our orders taken and food served. We have been complained about by the owner for using the gift certificates that we won by playing trivia. If they wanted to institute a small buy-in to play trivia, we would have gladly paid a small fee. Furthermore, we were confronted by the general manager as to why we were being made to pay for water and was told it was because we were only using gift certificates, even though we had only won gift certificates about 3 times in 7 months. Do not support this establishment!!
WHY? charging $2 at the door and $1 more on the drinks when the band starts.. I have been going to this establishment for many years even when they use to be located off of Madison Ave. always a good place at That Place you make it what it’s worth really as far as the staffing or waitresses I have noticed they do try as much as possible to get your drink and or food order in a timely manner but yes at times get side tracked in a conversation or 2. The bands have been somewhat better than usual then again if you have a crowd and your charging $2 at the door then your drinks go up $1 too after the band starts you might as well charge $5 at the door and keep your drink prices down, then again if its a mediocre band why charge at all. If you think about it the more someone would drink the benefit and gains are tremendous I am sure IT BETTER BE A GREAT BAND WORTH SEEING to be catching me $$$$$ coming and going.
I will agree though, the live bands are too loud.05 Sep, 2013Cheap drinks, always have decent daily specials, staff has always been friendly. I go here about once a week. The food is average but it’s cheap. Wednesdays are $5.00 pitchers of beer.
???. Never eaten any food here but when I have been to this bar the music always seems pretty good and the drinks are decently priced. I would go there again for sure.
