Love Vino Villa! The best place in Greenwood. A great selection of wines and the food is always good. I love the salads and pizzas. The brie appetizer is great as well. Location is an old, refurbished house. It is very quaint and has a lot of character. I love the outdoor patio and string lights. Love love this place. An absolute must stop if in Greenwood.
I’ve been here several times as our pickings on the s’side are limited. It’s a great place to stop in and have a glass of wine. Ive never been certain why they sell a vast array of wines, but only offer a few by the glass. There are two areas that I feel have declined at this restaurant since my first visit there in 2013. First, I always feel that the waitress is rushing to get us served and out. Second, the appetizer quality has steadily decreased. You can’t go wrong with a cheese plate but the hot appetizers (if you receive hot) have lost their spark. Was there last Friday night (a July evening) I found it odd that they closed at 9:00 pm. It wasn’t dark yet, so I’m not sure why they have outside seating with lights. But, it was an hour past when we needed to leave because the mosquitoes were out of control. An issue they need to addresses.
Cute & Quaint. I have traveled long distances to come back to this place. My first time was a spur of the moment trip with my boyfriend when we saw such a cute restaurant and we started out on the second floor after looking through the wine room. We chose a bottle of wine, ordered a pitcher of sangria and an antipasti plate, and had a wonderful night. It was delicious, the server was really friendly and after we were finished we took our last two glasses of wine down to the patio and listened to the band for a bit. It was a great date place to get to know someone and to have a nice little relaxing get away from the daily grind.
So good & such a fun concept. Enjoyed a night with my husband & parents. Shared multiple plates & sipped our wine/beers. Will definitely go back & you should try it!
Wine with friends. Love the atmosphere and that it is not your average night out – casual atmosphere to share small plates and bottles of wine of your own choice. Little rooms upstairs. You might want to reserve a spot if you are with a big group of friends.
My wife and I were there today and it was a wonderful experience. I had the opportunity to meet Paul the owner who was very gracious and considerate proprietor. He took time to introduce himself and show us around the store. Additionally we met with Jim the wine guy and he took a significant out of time to explain the wines the regions that they carried as well as the wines that were most popular based off of his personal experience as well as the wine club that meets their regularly.We also enjoyed lunch there in which we had the margarita pizza as well as the cheesecake that is made there on site. Both were a really great experience and really great afternoon. I highly recommend the Vino Villa!
