No more wang cai for us! Called tonight to order delivery and we were told they no longer deliver. After being a faithful customer for 4 years, we won’t be ordering food from here any more. That’s terrible. Why would you do that? Very disappointed.
Fried rice…. The sweet and sour chicken is wonderful. But as I had gotten my egg drop soup, there were black pieces in there like it was old and the fried rice is TERRIBLE ..

Best in the West in So Many Ways. I’ve spent a lot of time in many different parts of China. I’ve worked as a waiter in two different Chinese restaurants, though that has been over a decade ago. This is literally the best Chinese food I’ve ever had at any restaurant in America and the closest I’ve experienced to authentic Chinese cuisine outside of China. You can’t go wrong here. The prices are reasonable, the service is prompt, and everything I’ve ever eaten there has been outstanding. I even appreciate that they use the more durable containers for take out. It makes it easier for me to keep and reheat leftovers and nothing gets soggy or spilled.
Typical Chinese. To think that this place is any better or any worse than other Chinese Restaurants in the area would simply be a waste of my time. It is the same Chinese food that comes from the same supplier as all the other Chinese food in the US. Don’t kid yourself that this is any different.They do have some of the cheapest prices for their stuff I’ve seen around here so far. So that might be a good reason to come here.I swear my wife and I ordered roughly the same thing that we did from My Thai Cafe for about $10 less once it was all done and over with. Ridiculous.
Bad Food Bad Service. I tried this restaurant and ordered 2 sesame chickens…it was so dried out that it could not be eaten…so I contacted the owner to get a refund he said he would not refund but would send more chicken…but once burned on the food I just simply want my money back and he refused and I could hear him in the back ground being angry…hence this review…I had to eat the cost and not the chicken…I will never order from this restaurant again. Bad Food and Bad Service….I hope no one else gets taken like I did !!!! I work hard for my money and find this restaurant to be on my NO GO list…
One of our Family Favorites!. We have never had a bad order from Wang Cai. It’s always freshly prepared and authentically flavorful. My daughter highly recommends the Chicken w/Broccoli :)Delivery service is prompt and efficient. One of the gems of the Southside!
