Best Sushi in Town. Freshness and Quality is the what you get when go the Yokohama. You pay more then other places but you get more. Most rolls you get 8 pieces instead of the standard 6 pieces. The rolls are usually bigger in diameter as well. So be careful when ordering as you eyes will be bigger than you stomach. You have to try the Poke. I have been to most of the places in Indy and this is the best..
This restaurant is awesome! I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 2 years and this is the closest I’ve found in authenticity! Absolutely love, but be prepared to pay. Totally worth it!
I’m a regular. I go to Yokohama very week, sometimes twice a week because I can’t stop eating the Debbie Roll. They’re literally addictive. Love the whole crew. So friendly. My favorite spot to meet friends bc it’s cozy and personal. Also, the upstairs is amazing with 3 traditional dining areas with recessed tables and karaoke! This place is seriously my jam.
Neutral! If you’re going to charge a lot more for your sushi, than your competitors (I.e. Ichiban), then your sushi needs to be that much better, in order to justify the price and sadly, they were not better than Ichiban! Don’t get me wrong, their food/sushi wasn’t bad but not worth their prices!! We also had chicken teriyaki and the sauce was sooo sickening sweet, I had to wipe the sauce off of the pieces of chicken. There was a hard clump of rice in the middle of my rice (day old/reused rice anyone??). Their ginger dressing was really good (even though there was an inch of water in the bottom of my salad bowl). Service was fairly prompt and very friendly but I can’t see going back….maybe & I’ll try something else!!
Very worth it. I have been to Yokohama for lunch on a weekday. My husband and I really love Japanese, so we’ve been meaning to try this one for a while. We were very well received and served, the menu is varied and appealing. We both ordered from the lunch menu, but since we wanted to try some sushi, we decided to get two rolls to share as an appetizer. That was a lot of food! I didn’t find it as pricey as other reviewers, but, even if it were, it would be worth it. The Yokohama roll is just monstrously big – but equally delicious! We also had a rainbow which was very very good. My husband had the teriyaki salmon and was very happy with it, he thought it well seasoned, they were generous with the sauce and the salad that came with it was a very nice match. I had a small nigiri-roll combo that was very filling. The roll itself, a shrimp tempura kind, wasn’t very much to my taste, but I could see it was well done. The husband ended up eating it as well, as I was too full to eat anything else! We will certainly be going back and bringing more of the family!
Best sushi place in the Indy area, but it is pricey!
