Almira’s has been the place to get cakes for all occasions for years. Their breads and pastries are always delicious, particularly their Mexican specialties. However, their atomic cake is my absolute favorite, which is one of the things this bakery is known for. It’s comprised of layers of cake that’s stuffed with fresh fruit and jelly, creating multiple layers of fruit. The strawberry jelly is delicious, though the banana kind is very good as well. You can get them made for special occasions only, as they don’t sell full cakes in house. It’s definitely a unique cake worth trying!

Were I not already married, this would be my choice, too. Several brides I know were turned off by the fact that this bakery is inside a grocery store — their loss.
