For a Chicago style hotdog or a loose meat hamburger, Madvek’s is the spot for simple, Chicago favorites. Serving all things fried, this spot has been a staple for Hammond locals. The small diner makes their food to order, and for the price, you get a good-sized portion. The hotdogs are always good, as are the chili dogs. They make their own chili, which is wonderful on the fries. I always get an order of chili cheese fries when I go! For a hotdog and fries, it’s worth visiting!
