Nick and Georges is a Hammond classic and one of the few great steak places in the area. All the steaks and fries are cut fresh to order, which keeps the prices reasonable. Theyre known for the steak sandwiches, which cost less than $8. Their burgers and meatloaf is pretty good as well. I particularly like their soups-the cream of broccoli is very filling and the chicken and rice is filled with flavor. This is one of the few places in Hammond where you can sit down with the owners as you eat, the staff making you feel at home.
