Big burgers!. I was amazed at how big these burgers were! And they were super scrumptious. Moist and thin with crispy edges. I had the Mickey, which is a single cheeseburger with two slices of cheese. If you love cheese than this one is for you. It didn’t look like it had two slices on it, but once I began to eat it, there was lots there. I would just stick with one piece of cheese next time. Great mayo and it goes well with the burger if you like mayo. Everything came out hot and fresh. Great cheese fries and onion rings!! I think the price is reasonable for the size of the burgers and size of fries. Service was fast and friendly, drinks were kept full. This place is clean on the inside as well!
Not a very nice place but food is awsome. If you are looking for healthy this is not your place!
Really on the Fence But….. This place is normally good but if you hit it on a bad day it’s really bad. I started out with chili this was like a putty type paste way too thick and old seemed like the juice was all cooked out. The burgers normally good this visit was good but the fries were cold. I always say if you wouldn’t eat the fries throw them out it’s like the employees get docked for throwing out cold rubber french fries. 50/50 on a good day good a bad forget it.
I LOVE the crispy edges. I know a lot of people like those big fat flying saucer shaped burgers, but I like Schoops (especially the Hammond location) because of those crispy edges. In fact, if they could sell me a burger JUST made of crispy edges, I’d eat it. Man that place is good, good Iced T choices (I don’t drink pop) and shakes as well.
Man what a place!. I love the Hammond Schoops, the food is always fresh, the people there are really nice, and the prices are great, they also give back to the community, which is a plus! Try it you’ll like it.
Yum…. One of the best burgers in the Midwest….get the Mikey……
