Zel’s is a good chain for Chicago classics such as roast beef sandwiches, hotdogs, and chili cheese fries. Their roast beef sandwiches are quite good, which draws in many customers. The hotdogs are Nathan’s brand, which isn’t my favorite hotdog. Covered in their chili, it tasted fabulous though. They use the Vienna sandwich buns for their other sausages however. My absolute favorite item from here is there chili cheese fries. It’s smothered in hot cheese and their special chili sauce, which is far tastier than other places. This local chain manages to keep their prices down and still serve good food in the process. For chili and all things beef, Zel’s is a good choice for a fast meal.
