Top Notch has been around for a long time. It still is a neat clean place to have a meal. The food is plentiful , hot and tasty. They are also open for dinner. Service is speedy and friendly. The radio is a little loud.
Top Notch, Highland, IN. I travel a lot, and eat at more 5 star places than I care to remember, but I always think of those weekends I don’t have to work and can eat at Top Notch. Once you get past the old surroundings, admittedly old carpet, and smoke (although now it’s better), I have to say that this is one of my favorite places in the world. The ocean perch dinner $5.95 on lunch special is just the yummiest. The gyros with fries is great, and the Reuben Sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had. The dinner specials are wonderful and plentiful, and so cheap that you can’t believe it’s a full meal. The breakfast is good, but does not compare with the lunch and dinner specials (except for the pork chopand eggs). And on Sunday, Top Notch has our favorite waitress – she’s better at customer service than any pompous waitstaff I’ve had in every city across the US and Canada.

Home cooked meal. My husband and i havent lived in this area long and we come from small town feel .. came accross this resturant ,and the food and service was great ,food is fresh , , it had a small town resturant feel to it ,, thankyou for this .. loved it ,, and we will return.. prices are great. same meal we got somewhere else for about half the price.
A little scary. This place scares me a little – and the smoke is terrible.
Not Very Good. Below average diner, small, over crowded, below average food that is served unattractively. Waitress’ and cooks are second rate.
