First visit on a Tuesday night a little after 7 pm. The longer we sat there the more cool looking people carrying musical instruments came in to eat. Around 7:45 I noticed we were the only people dining without musical instruments at our table. We finally asked our server and found out Tuesdays at 8 pm was open mic night. It was an awesome atmosphere and the music was great! The food was good. We both had a selection from the British section of the menu. The menu is large and we will be back to explore more items. We will probably go back closer to 8 pm on a Tuesday. That was a fun surprise!
Menu is way too large. Restaurant is dark but clean; service is good, food is fair and overpriced. Reuben sandwich was tasty but corned beef was tough and scant., cole slaw was unremarkable.
We recently went to The Aristocrat in Broad Ripple. We went and ate on the outdoor patio and the weather was very accommodating. The tenderloin was very similar to The Friendly Tavern and The Hilltop Inn. It was thin with light breading, well seasoned, and big enough for two sandwiches. I thought it was very good, but not better than Nickel Plate or The Elbow Room. I do think it is better than Union Jacks.
