I like their lunch buffet. I like going to their lunch buffet. First let me say I am not a fan of ALL their food. My technique is to go and get a bitesize (or less) portion out of all their dishes in the buffet and then come back for more of the ones I like. Some of their dishes are not good. Their eggroll/springroll is hit and miss. There are days when it’s okay and days when it’s awesome. I like their crab rangoon when it’s fresh out of the kitchen and their pad thai. I always love their dessert, banana fritters. I like that they rotate their dishes, I have seen variety every time I go. Service is good, my water is always topped off, and you don’t wait long to get your check. The noise level here is way better than the other Thai place in Fountain Square where you have to scream every time you talk. So overall I like this place and would go back for their buffet.
Fabulous food. I travel 180 days a year & eat out a lot!!! I am picky about food quality & can say this food is GOOD. Service and atmosphere were good also. I would not hesitate to eat here again.
Best thai food I’ve ever had. I loved everything we had.
Nice decor, mediocre food. I must say I was not impressed with this place. I took my husband here for his birthday….I was so disappointed that there was no live jazz or any music at all…it was a Saturday evening at 8pm. Our server was very friendly and polite. The decor was very nice. I ordered the pad thai and I was not impressed…it was a big pile of brown with hardly any vegetables. It was definitely a big portion, but who wants a big portion when it doesn’t taste great. I will say that the soup was very good and we got calamari as an appetizer that was also very good. BUT, I was coming for the noodles and such! Disappointing 🙁 Maybe we’ll try it again sometime in the future, not sure. I prefer Siam Square any day!
Lunch Buffet is awesome.. I had the lunch buffet. It gave the the chance to try things other than the favs. It’s hard to order something new when my favorite dish always calls my name. Loved the basil fried rice, fried bananas, and the eggplant stirfry. A definite must try if you like Thai food. Will definitely be back to order these items spicier (buffet is mild-medium in spicy heat)!!!
Beautiful Dinner. Amazing – that’s all
Even better than Thai Spice.. I recently took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was an awesome experience. We had reservations for 7:30 on a Friday. We were immediately seated at a special birthday table, complete with a birthday card that had been signed by every worker in the restaurant. I started out with a Big Ginger and my girlfriend had a Vodkarita Tini, both were impeccable and full of flavor. Our server James made sure to tell my girlfriend happy birthday and so did every worker that walked by our table throughout the evening. We started out with the Larb salad, it was flavorful and had a great texture for a salad. We then split an order of the Pad See Ew for our entree, it was just the right amount of spiciness and left us both contentedly full. James expertly paired a glass of pinot noir for me to match our dish. on top of all of this it was great to have live jazz playing in the next room, adding to a nearly perfect meal. We have been going to Thai Spice on the south side for years and this easily took over as our new favorite Thai restaurant in the city.
