Best bakery. It’s been an original standing business in the southside and the only one still there. Boydens have the best cookies donuts coffee cakes etc. We grew up on Habig rd and always purchasing an item there. It was always good!!! Think they made bread too if I remember correctly. Best eclairs ever.

Good place and no lines. Hidden on the south side of Indianapolis, and no 30 min lines like at that other south side gem, longs. very close to the other place however their treats are a little sweeter, and they actually take credit cards. I was home and finished my breakfast before i probably would have gotten through the line. they could have more of a selection as this shop is a bit small!
Cookies/Coffee Cake. Stopped there to check it out. Bought a coffee cake, some sugar cookies, and a cannon ball cookie. I will definitely stop there the next time I am in Indy.
Alex doesn’t know what he is talking about, don’t listen to him. This place is great, I have been going there for over 40 years and the food there is wonderful. The donuts, pies and cakes are all good. The eclairs are the best I’ve had, I highly recommend it.
The doughnuts here are just too bready. There is something about the taste of the icing that bothers me as well. Some people might like it if they don’t want to drive too far.
Good stuff. I heard about this place at dinner and was shocked that there was a mom and pop doughnut shop I hadn’t set foot in. The apple fritter was the highlight. Fried slightly crisp, the right amount of icing, and liberal doses of cinnamon and apple. The filled Long John was great, too, if not slightly ridiculous. There was more white fluff in this one roll than you’d get in two dozen Dunkin vanilla cream donuts. That might be an exaggeration. But it’s not much of one. If you like real doughnuts, you’ll love this place. I’ll be back for more, soon.
