This was a place I had high expectations for and like most times when that happens I was let down. The burger is good quality beef and bun, however, there’s nothing to make it unique or stand out. It’s not bad by any means but there’s nothing that distinguishes the burger here. There are better burger choices in Indy but there are also much worse choices. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but if you’re close and just need a decent burger then this isn’t the worst choice.
Ate dinner here with my friends Saturday. Perks: it’s on the canal, it’s a burger place, the fries are good, the service is polite, the toppings are good. Down side: the wait is long, the service is slow, the burger patties are bland, the specialty fries are not worth the upcharge. Not sure I’d eat here again.
I am talking about the canal walk Burgerhaus. Well, to be honest except for the drinks this place is a disgrace to burgers. The sangria and brushetta was pretty decent but I’ve never had such horrible burgers in my life. I ordered the American burger since it had bacon . This burger in the first two bites tasted fine, but after a while it had this stagnant weird taste to it. Whereas the haus burger had absolutely no flavour to it. It was just a beef burger with cheese and no taste at all, it just seemed impossible to finish. The fries were the only good thing with that burger or the whole meal. I would never suggest this place to anyone who is looking to enjoy burger.
Really delicious with a fun selection of flavor combinations for both the burgers and the fries. It can be tough to find because it doesn’t have a street front, but that’s because it’s down along the canal and offers great views! It’s worth the search though and makes for a classier burger date night.
Oh. Sweet. Jesus. Being on the canal, it can be a bit difficult to find, but the burgers are amazing, the beer selection is fantastic, and the fries are simply to do for. Love it.
Another great experience!. Dined here for the second time tonight. We were seated right away. Our server was quick to greet us and our beers arrived shortly. We had the spinach artichoke dip with toasted pita chips – it was wonderful. The pita chips are delicious and the dip has large pieces of artichokes in a creamy sauce. It was very good. My friend ordered the Santiago and I had the Tuscan. Both were juicy and flavorful, cooked just as ordered. Maybe our favorite part were the spicy blue cheese fries! The fries are perfectly crisp and the sauce is amazing. It has a perfect balance of spice and blue cheese with green onions. We loved them! The service was good and the atmosphere energetic without being too loud for conversation. And we got to avoid the cold weather and snow by parking in the garage – which the restaurant validated. I will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later.
Great burgers, beer, and fantastic service!!. Delicious gourmet burgers, great tasting, organic beef doesn’t need a lot of seasoning. The toppings were amazing and there was so much to pick from. The service was great too, thanks Tom!
