Why are we the only ones here? The food (he got the lamb kebab, I got the panir masala) was excellent! Service was great! This place should be packed. Maybe keep it our little secret. We will be back!
Amazing food. This was the first time that we tried Haveli, and we will be back as often as possible. Not knowing what is best to order here, and usually enjoying a buffet for the variety of food, we went with the Mirza Sahaba (for two). The menu isn’t quite clear on what is included as far as number of entres. You get pappadum when seated, then the meal includes 5 pieces of tandoori chicken (some of the freshest and best we’ve ever had), lamb curry (think your favorite mouthwatering pot roast but with Indian spices), and either Chicken tika masala (CTM) or curry chicken. We went with the CTM, some of moistest, creamiest we’ve ever had. You also get 2 full nans cut into 4 pieces each, and a big bowl of rice. And kheer (rice pudding). It was well worth the $28 charge. We stopped ourselves from gorging, but were completely full, and still had 3 pieces of nan and enough rice and CTM for lunch. I’ve never been so excited to have leftovers. Service was attentive, but not obsessive unlike some places where every sip of water is immediately refilled. So for about $9 per meal, considering the amount of food left over for lunch, this place is a great value, and the food is just perfect. Literally the best Indian food that either of us have had in a long time. I will return as often as possible.
Excellent Food. Tonight we stopped by to use our restaurant.com gift cards. Because we had to spend 50 to use this particular card (and there are deals in which you can spend less), we ordered a lot of different options. We had two appetizers, two curries, an assorted order of naan, a mango shake, a beer, a Indian coffee, and desert. Everything was excellent. I didn’t know they had a buffet option. They weren’t offering the buffet tonight, and that may just be a lunch thing. I’ll have to look into that. Like most restaurant.com options, this place was nearly empty. It is tucked away, but it’s worth finding. The decoration leaves something to be desired, but if that doesn’t really matter to you, this place is a great choice for Indian.
Awesome!!. If you want something different and want a great place to go on a weekend night WITHOUT a wait…this is a hidden gem!the service was great, the people were ALL friendly! (Especially since I had so many questions about what all of the ingredients were in the different dishes!) EVERYTHING we had was delicious and so flavorful! I do not like food spicy and my husband likes his very spicy! They were very accommodating to both of our tastes! Our favorite appetizer was the vegetable Samosas! We left stuffed! We highly recommend this place!
Good Indian Food. Awesome food experience! A group of co-workers and I went to this place for lunch. We had the lunch buffet and you definitely get more than your money’s worth with this location. Everything was worth trying and I ended up enjoying every bit. I recommend a visit!
Blah. Printed off a coupon from coupons4indy.com and went for lunch not expecting a lot. The floor was uneven that I had to take a mental note to walk carefully especially after I get my food. The choices were few, the salad portion takes up almost 1/3 of the buffet island. wires were hidden from the wall to the buffet with rugs with rubber matting, which keeps flipping back when people walk by and kick it.I think they need to find a more permanent solution to that problem. The tandoori chicken was tender and tasty but the temperature wasn’t hot, it was just warm, and so was all the food, except for the Naan, which was exceptional, the garlic one that is. It had enough garlic, not overpowering and had parsley on it that brightens it up.The lamb was tasty but again only warm in temperature, not hot.Spinach Fritter was good, the breading was tasty and crispy. The vegetable pakora was okay. The rice pudding was good but again, the temperature was off. I like to combine my rice pudding with the hot gulab jamun, the sweet and hot and cold contrast takes me to heaven everytime I have it in indian restaurants but this just didn’t do it for me this time. The rice pudding was not cold and the gulab jamun was dry on the inside and it wasn’t hot. So I think their buffet warmer isn’t working or they think they are saving money by not cranking the temperature higher on the warmers. When paying, the girl behind the counter couldn’t figure out whether my kids were full price or discounted, she had to get the other server’s attention (there were only three of them) to recalculate and figure out my bill.Would I go back to this restaurant since its so close to my work compared to the other indian restaurants, I’d say no. I don’t think it’s worth the discounted $6.99 plus tax for something that isn’t that good.
Excellent Indian cuisine. We had a wonderful dinner at Haveli while in town for a convention. Excellent chicken makhni and mixed grill. Highly recommend!
