Very nice. I have only been to Hoaglin’s once and the experience was quite enjoyable. I had an excellent salad and my lunch companions were just as happy with the food they ordered. Portions are substantial, service was good and atmosphere was simple and comfortable. Will be returning tomorrow and I am confident I will not be disappointed.
YUMMMM!!!!!!!. My favorite foods of all time are Biscuits and Gravy and potatoes and I tried them both for the first at Hoaglin last week. Both were some of the best I’ve ever had locally and came out quick and fresh and I had great service! Needless to say I’ll be trying it again this weekend because I keep craving it now!
Pretty Wonderful. I always crave their mocha at some point during the weekend in the AM’s.. I like that they customize all of their great, fresh ingredients to make whatever I want. Because I’m picky and don’t really love eggs. So really, I’m not a huge brunch person but I think this place is making me into one. Kudos for that.
Totally Different Now. Theyve changed the kitchen and the wait staff CHANGE IT BACK!Ive gone to Houglins since theyve opened. Their eggs benedict was the bomb. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic and their Pommes Anna was the best. I went yesterday 12/9 and could tell theyd changed. The hollandaise sauce was totally different (in a bad way)….bland and not seasoned. The pommes Anna had no flavor and also not seasoned….I didnt recognize any of the wait staff. I was never offered a refill on my coffee….the couple next to us was seated and they waited for about 20 min and then got up and left. No one came over to take their order or even took their drink order. I made our waitress aware of my opinion about the food. She was very receptive and said she would tell the manager. I dont know why things changed so drastically, but the changes are NOT for the better. Big disappointment.
Food Cold, Service minimal, Management condescending.. Eggs were cold, Eggs Benedict barely had any sauce and service was minimal. Management can be condescending.
Not the Same….since the change. Since the recent change of ownership I will have to admit that a few things don’t seem the same. I absolutely loved the sour dough toast (yea it’s supposed to be more dense and tough than white bread) and don’t care for the new brand. When I asked I was told they had too many complaints about the other sour dough. I find that funny that it took that many years and a change of ownership to have it changed. We also found that some of the equipment was broken so some of the entrees were not available and didn’t have some items on the menu (granola, bagels). We found that odd since these items all came from Scholar’s Inn (including the sour dough bread). Many the new ownership is who didn’t care for these items and not the customers.
Just Not Good. The first time I ate at Hoaglin I like it…it was several years ago. But the last three times I have been there my meal was simply not good. Not going back.
