Good place for cocktails. I have been here many a night with friends, and the service is always great. The bartender is friendly and chatty, and has his mixed drinks down to a science. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and is an ideal place to catch up with old friends. The drinks are a bit pricey, but they are made strong enough that you really only need one or two to feel nice and buzzed 😉
Relaxing Retro. My husband and I love Imbibe. Their drink menu is reminiscent of the old lobby bars – Tom Collins, Manhattan, Harvey Wallbanger, freshly made (no pre-mixes here!) – with great local brews like Sun King and Fountain Square. If Imbibe doesn’t have it on tap, they will go next door to End-Of-The-Line and get it for you. Bartender Brian rocks!
Try the Sidecar. Brian is wicked good.
Another Fountain Square Favorite!. I just heard about Imbibe opening up in the Fountain Square building, so I was very excited to check it out this weekend (its second in operation). My fiance and I loved it.The space that had been underused for the past couple years between Smokehouse on Shelby and Shelbi Street Cafe has been transformed into a 20’s-esque cocktail bar. In an awesome location and a wonderful selection of wine, beer and liquors, Imbibe is a great intimate hang out. I was served a sizable gin and tonic and my fiance really enjoyed sipping a Manhattan. The bartender was very pleasant and chatty, and it just seemed like the bar has been around as long as the Fountain Square Building. They also have a tasty menu. We ordered a shrimp cocktail (and the crazy, special sauce), but became insanely jealous of the loaded nachos we watched go to a neighboring table.Imbibe is just another reason to go to Fountain Square and keep going.
