We went as a group of six and found this restaurant to be a hidden gem in downtown Indianapolis. The outside is not very impressive but the interior is actually very nice, clean and a decent size. We ordered different dishes and shared. The spice level was requested to be five out of ten but was probably closer to seven. The dishes were all very flavorful with ample portions such that we had leftovers for nearly all the dishes. The appetizer was samosas, great choice, and the naan was soft and large enough (one piece fed two of us). Service was wonderful, attentive, prompt and more than adequate. A great choice for Indian food if youre in the area.
This place has a very, very good lunch buffet. It is vast in selections and the establishment does make an effort to replace the emptying pans in a timely manner. It is very responsible in price. I like that this place offers an experience that one would expect at a fine dining establishment. I like the individual iced water pitcher placed on each table. I like the cloth napkins at lunch. I like the cloth table covers. It is classy.
Went for dinner to this Indian restaurant last evening. It was a welcome change after having the American fare for quite a few meals. The restaurant has nice decor with slow Indian classical music playing in the background. We ordered for Dal Tadka, Rice, Nan, Bhindi Masala, Paneer Chilly, Papad and Pickle. The Dal was very good and so was the Bhindi..They had put a lot of cumin seeds in the Paneer Chilly which isn’t the perfect recipe for the dish and hence wasn’t up to the mark. The Nan was huge and soft and had 2 pieces cut in half. The portions were generally very large even for a meal for two and be conscious of that before you order. Theu also have a buffet at lunch time is what I was told. They seem to provide handwritten receipts which is very uncommon for an established restaurant chain and is not appreciated. Overall a decent choice for change of taste.
