    No Chi-dog. Tasted ok-not Chi-dog level.

Must of been a bad day.. After reading the reviews I was unsure I went to the same establishment. Having grown up in Chicago I was looking forward to trying out King David Dogs to see if they captured my hometown taste. I was disappointed, the dogs themselves were on a rotating grill (not in steam bath – true Chicago Style), leaving the dog tough and chewy. The buns weren’t steamed. The toppings were average and the pickle was missing. I ordered the combo lunch with the skin on fries, they were semi-warm and tough like they had been sitting to long under a warming lamp, I could slightly understand this a 2pm, but I came in a 12:30pm, right during lunch hour. For the cost of the lunch, I was disappointed.

You don’t have to travel to Chicago for a hotdog. Just go here! My only complaint is that it’s not open more. People like hotdogs at midnight too!

Ill try again. Not much to look at , but very friendly and patient., not happy wih what i ordered, the hula dog, but that was my fault, i cant wait to go try again .

Huge portions and tasty tots! You get a ton of food for $6. I love the Mac and cheese dog the best. Unfortuantly they are only open for a few days mon-fri. I wish they would stay open longer and open additional locations!

Huge Weiners! (That’s what she said). Staff was friendly and funny. Great dogs, little chewy maybe but overall AMAZING! Wife had the state fair dog (a corn dog) and I had the chili cheese dog. Both were awesome. Tots and Fries were good. I would recommend the fries. Maybe a bit heavy for a workday lunch but a good meal at a good price.
