Please beware when purchasing food here, they misplaced my debit card by giving it to another customer! They guy at the register seemed to care less about my card being misplaced!! Some of the staff is rude and unprofessional also!
Omg! I avoid coming here often not because of the price or the service, but because the food is too dangerously delicious! I have tried just about every meat on the menu and have no compliants. I prefer the catfish and it never fails to make me smile. I never go without getting their epic lemonade (super secret recipe). For sides, I recommend dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, or macaroni. Every meal comes with sweet corn bread fried or baked. The service is always great and friendly. Pick up or sit down, you’ll be happy and full for the rest of the day! I also love that they do out reach to the community and provide meals for the hungry during the holidays. What’s not to love about Kountry Kitchen?
Horrible customer service. We arrived at noon it is now 12:46. Our server is just now taking our order 45 min later. Very rude staff!!! Great food could work on customer service !!!
My favorite restaurant in indy!!!!!!. I hadn’t been there in while because there food and service went down. I went recently and there food was excellent. I (ALWAYS) order pork chops , mac & cheese , greens and sweet potatoes. There peach cobbler is the best I have ever had. If you have never been PLEASE!!!! go you will be pleasantly surprised.
Southern charm. Fantastic meal and superior service! Regina was friendly and attentive. Both the food and service reminded me of visiting my husband’s family in southern Georgia…welcoming and comforting. The collard greens are among the top I have tasted with rich flavors and go perfect with the fried corn bread. If you want great southern fare this is the place to go. Recommend!
Good Southern food in a Northern town. I am from Mississippi. Was in Indy visiting my daughter. Ate here for a taste of home. Good food. Had fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, mixed greens, okra, and skillet cornbread. All good. Way too expensive for lunch (a side dish is $3.50!) but still a good meal. Nice folks. Wide variety of choices. Fried cornbread/skillet cornbread (cornbread pancakes basically) is great.
You Gotta Go!. If you live in/are from Indy you have to eat here at least once. It’s pretty much a landmark and there’s a reason so many famous people eat there when they come through Indy. If you like soul food/country food at all, you will love it here. I won’t even go into detail just because everything I’ve tried here is just that delicious. I think a lot of people (read: white people) think they will feel like an outsider here but I promise you, you won’t. They sure don’t care what color you are as long as you pay for your food! Portions are huge so really you are getting two meals for the cost of one.
