Good Soul Food. Most friendly place ever. Had both the fried and smothered pork. You can tell gravy was homemade. Really good. First time I ever had fried corn bread. Mac n cheese was creamy and delicious. Stuffing was good as well. Very good home cooked Soul Food.
The name says it all. Fried chicken, okra, fried green tomatoes, black-eyed peas, corn bread, pork chops, fried biscuits, greens, etc. It’s in a non-descript building and bigger inside than it looks outside. Parking in rear. It was packed at 1pm on a Friday. Lots of to-go people in line as well as full tables. I had the three-vegetable plate: corn, black-eyed peas, fried okra and fried cornbread. All was good. My wife had the fried chicken with fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, green beans and fried corn bread. She thought the chicken was not crispy and was bland. The mac and cheese needed more cheese. It took a while for our food to arrive, but, as I said, it was busy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Reasonable prices. If you you like soul food-go here.
