Is it still open or nah???. My companion & I used to eat there often. The last few times we’ve gone it was closed. I called there today & the # was disconnected. Is it still open or nah??? We love the food by the way…I get fried pork chops, greens, sweet potatoes & cornbread. He gets grilled pork chops, greens, cabbage, Mac n cheese, or sweet potatoes with a few glasses of red koolaid!!!
Disappointed!. I ordered carry-out from Madea’s on July 11. My mouth was set on some good soul food and that was not what I got. I was very disappointed in the food and the prices. The pork chops were seasoned well, but over cooked and on the dry side. The mac & cheese and fried green tomatoes lacked flavor. The cornbread was very greasy. I ordered a slice of pie that I did not get; I should have checked my order before I left. I paid $17 for food an amount of food that should have cost around $10. If you are going to open a soul food restaurant, the food should be on point. I will be surprised if they stay open for a year.

Love, love, love this place, very clean and different from other soulfood places here. They sale chitterlings every Sunday in big portions. The environment is family oriented and comforting. The decorations give you a homely feel. I recommend Madeas to anyone looking for genuinely good food!
I will return. We visited Madea’s for the first time on May 25, 2014….the prices were a little steep on some items…but my daughter and I had the cheeseburger and fries with everything on it….omg….the hamburger on it was real hamburger….and was really thick…not that McDonald type burger…it was thick and juicy…with nice size tomatoe to almost fit the bun….the burger was larger than the bun…no saying where’s the beef on this sandwich….the fries were awesome…(I normally don’t eat that many fries)… But I ate the whole serving….my grand kids got the kids meals…one got the cheeseburger which was really beefy as well…with a nice order of fries…unlike these fast food places… The other got chicken wings…which I was not impressed by…not much meat on them…but it was enough to fill her up….free refills on drinks….we spent $25.03 plus tip….and walked away so full…felt like I went to a all u can eat buffet….I will definitely be a returning customer….why spend $20.00 at mcdonalds when you can spend $25.00 and get real meat and full…the restaurant was very clean…I’m glad I went today…didn’t take any pictures but will definitely do so on next visit
Prices are tooo high. I ate there for the first time Saturday May 3rd and when I ordered my food the menu said they had 4 types of fish but the server told me that they only had catfish available. When I received my fish and sides, the fish and side portions were very small. After paying 15 dollars plus tip, I was still hungry. The food was ok, the fish had little seasoning and id could barely get a taste for the sides but id rather go to cracker barrel!! At cracker barrel I could get catfish and 3 sides for under 10 dollars.
Bad & sad custumer. Sunday april 27,2014 was my first and last time at Madeas, the prices were to high and the amount of food you get is so small,I got mc& cheese, green beans and fried wings,&peach cobbler the food was good but you get only like 2 table spoons each and 4 chicken wins that look like baby chicks wings,I spent $15.08, for that amount you would think you would get a healtly amount, very small,Talked to a frien she also said the same thing,so it’s back to mississippi bells where the food is good and you get what you pay for.I give this place no more than 6 months they either need to lower the prices or give more food so upset my last time there and my friend said hers too
