Food use to be good before Murphys took over. Now they have a very limited menu. No one seems to be in charge of food or service quality. Very disappointed with new ownership , bring back Pat!26 Sep, 2010The same menu since the restaurant opened is getting very tired and the specials are not much better. How about some new appetizers, entrees, and salads. Fun atmosphere but the food needs to improve.
Food mediocre at best, and they need to lose a 1985 menu, and change the fryer grease the service is OK but old and then green also might need a trim around the hairline other than that of the food is all Cisco frozen even the burger patty irsh pkace I think not old folks home
Barney Woosley. Pat’s is our warm cozy neighborhood restaurant/bar. The soups are really good as well as the daily dinner specials. The turkey club is one of my favorites though I just had the breaded tenderloin and it was delicious. Overall, the menu has something for everyone. The servers are friendly, many have worked there a number of years. Pat is there most of the time too and very friendly.
Great place, servers where friendly, I had the beer battered onion rings an the shepards pie, very traditional. Though alittle on the dry side the shepards pie was good. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.
More than advertised…. First, this place is Vegetarian/ Vegan Friendly though not touted as such on the menu, Pat Flynn’s has blackbean burgers (not on the menu), the pizza’s are good (not greasy), there is a veggie wrap and veggie croissant, rotating soups, and in the summer vegetable dishes. Second, again though not on the menu, much of the meat (I’m certain all the pork) is local. Third, in the summer, most of the produce is local, seasonal, and often organic. The specials often reflect these seasonal special purchases…peach cobbler, blueberry pie, etc. Again, not advertised but the staff know. Beyond all the other positive things other Spooners have mentioned about Pat Flynn’s– good food, great prices, good service, and good vibes–I just wanted to add one more facet based on my research…Good Karma.
Love the Flynn’s. Best place in town for onion rings and fish and chips. I also dig their shepherd’s pie. This is where hard working folks can run into the state’s last decent governor, Joe Kernan. The Guiness is on draught, as it should be, as is Smithwicks. This is where you want to be for St. Paddy’s day and grab some beef stew, a pint, and wait on the pipers. It’s a no BS pub for people who don’t have trust funds and know the real reason pubs were invented.
