The food here has gotten worse. They no longer have the variety they once had about 3 years ago. Vegetarian options have been reduced in addition to the breadth of their sauce reservoir. They no longer make custom sauces upon arrival. I thought this unique feature distinguished them from other Chinese restaurants. Now they seem to have conformed. I would not eat here often if at all.
Make a whole meal out of these little goodies! ~ Fiction Faith & Foodies blog. My wife and I visited P.F. Changs located in the Center City Mall in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This was our first visit, so we opted for the Four-Course Prix-Fixe option which includes one appetizer, two soups, two entrees, and one dessert. For our appetizer, we chose their popular Chicken Lettuce Wrap, wok-seared chicken, mushrooms, green onions, and water chestnuts served over crispy rice sticks with lettuce cups for wrapping and a spicy sauce. This dish had deep flavors, was cooked to perfection, and carried a little bite from the sauce. (Dora here. I wouldnt have minded making a whole meal out of these little goodies!) We both chose the Wonton Soup, which didnt just have an abundant amount of delicious pork wontons, but also chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, spinach and water chestnuts. For our main course, I chose the Mongolian Beef, thinly cut pieces of soy-glazed flank steak, wok-seared with scallions and garlic. The steak was very good, flavorful and tender, but I wouldve enjoyed it more without the abundance of large scallions. My wife ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken, battered chicken in a sweet and tangy honey sauce over a bed of crispy rice sticks. Dora here. Something about the honey sauce clashed with my tongue. Not my favorite part of the meal, but there was so much more to enjoy! For dessert, we went with the Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons, warm and crispy shells filled with delicious vanilla cream, petite and not too heavy, the perfect way to end the meal.I would rate this restaurant 4 forks out of 5 forks for a family friendly restaurant that is serving great food.Ernie & Dora Hiers, Fiction Faith & Foodies blog torikayson.com
Don’t order the Waldorf salad expecting a Waldorf salad. Kale, a couple grapes, a couple grape tomatoes and a few walnuts with a spicy dressing a Waldorf do not make.

Pass this one by. First of all I will start by saying our waitress was fantastic, just wish I remembered her name. That’s about where my kind words on this one stops. To call this a Chinese place is a joke. Everything they have here is so Americanized that you might as well go ahead and change the name to PF Changs America Bistro. If you order anything fried here you should expect it to be dripping with grease, and whatever grease that is doesn’t have a taste. My spring rolls produced more oil than an Exxon plant to the point that all that was left on my plate at the end was a pool of oil.And whats more, this place is way overpriced for what you get. I got a couple spring rolls and one of the chicken dishes and paid about $20. This was just me, with water to drink, before tax and tip. I think that’s a bit much.If this place gets busy, which it usually is being downtown, they run out of seating in the actual restaurant so you will probably get to sit out in the mall behind the divider walls across from Weber grill. My advice is to bring a coat because you’re right next to the entrance and the cold air just about over powers whatever heat is being put into the mall. If you have no coat in the winter months and you sit out here you will be cold the whole time.
Dirty & Average food. Disappointed in the cleanliness of the windows, floor and overall dining area. My chair had old food on it. The table where we were seated had food and oily/greasy residue still left on the table. When our server brought over the dessert menu it was disgusting with food and smudges all over it. It took forever for our appetizer to come out. They did comp them however. They also brought out Kang Pao chicken when I actually ordered Kung Pao shrimp. The server was nice and did try to make our experience better. But it didn’t seem well managed to me. Get the ship tightened and cleaned up and it would be great.
Loud and greasy. Actually, it wasn’t that bad. I didn’t like the music and my lunch companion thought everything was too greasy. The egg rolls exuded oil (she asked for paper napkins and blotted them), and the chicken lettuce wraps were oily. Only the steamed dumplings didn’t leave a puddle of oil on the plate. I thought the condiments were a bit bland. But in general it was tasty, and the service was excellent.
