Great food and atmosphere! We had an all around wonderful experience here. I had the pork loin and my wife had bruschetta. We were very impressed with both. Ended with Sicilian donuts (amazing). Great service, great food…plus it was prom night but they never seemed slammed. Highly recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I went there for my birthday dinner. The soup was delicious along with the wine. But our 40 dollar individual steaks tasted like they should have been 10 dollar steaks. Now that we’ve tried this restaurant we probably won’t be coming back.

Bit on the pricey side, but not unreasonable and worth it! ~ Fiction Faith & Foodies blog. While in Indianapolis, Indiana at a fire conference, we visited Palomino Restaurant & Bar, located in the heart of downtown near the Circle Centre Mall. I chose the Signature Paella, loaded with clams, mussels, fish, chicken, chorizo and saffron rice. This dish was outstanding with huge amounts of perfectly cooked seafood and a strong saffron flavor profile. My wife had the Asiago-Almond Crusted Scallops topped with a butter sauce and served with toasted orzo and a surprise ingredient, fennel ribbons. Dora here. The scallops were indeed crusty on the outside yet deliciously soft on the inside. The sauce was smooth and creamy, and I enjoyed how the sweet taste of the fennel played off everything else. If youre looking for a good time to try Palomino, the place was practically deserted on a rainy Saturday for lunch. Theyre a bit on the pricey side, but not unreasonable, and I felt both dishes were worth it.I would rate this restaurant 5 forks out of 5 for a family friendly restaurant serving outstanding food.Ernie & Dora Hiers, Fiction Faith & Foodies blog torikayson.com

This used to be a family favorite, though I feel that since it first opened, the service and quantity of food has overall decreased. The service is still great-the servers are very friendly and fast and the atmosphere is about the same-clean and contemporary. The food itself is still good, but the prices have increased as the portion sizes decreased. Still, my standard fare is the crispy calamari and their pizzas (salsiccia fresca and prosciutto crutto are always good). Still, it’s one of the nicer restaurants in Indy, so I still find myself going after all these years.

Was once one of my favorites. Disappointed.. I started coming to Palomino in the late 90’s and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. However, the last two visits have left me wondering if I’ll be back. We went on a Thursday night and the service was very good. I traditionally would get the asiago crusted tilapia or the rigatoni bolognese as these are two dishes that I always enjoy. The tilapia was no longer on the menu, which is fine, so I ordered the rigatoni. It was good but nowhere near as good as it once was. The sauce was somewhat creamy in the past but no more. It was also a little spicy before but not now. It is still good but I wouldn’t recommend it or order it again. My wife ordered the scallops, which she had ordered several times before. This time, there were only 4 small scallops, literally 4 bites, and a small (really small) serving of pasta (about 4 bites). It looked like an appetizer. My wife is a light eater so she didn’t complain but I certainly would have. Our other dinner companion ordered the baked penne which she said was quite good but I didn’t try it. Sad to say but this will likely be our last visit to Palomino. Too many other good restaurants in the area to warrant a return.

Went before the Colts game today. Arrived about 1.5 hrs before the game. Took about 10mins before our waiter greeted us. We ordered our drinks and salads at the same time so that we would have plenty of time. About 35 minutes later we still didn’t have our salads and yet two couples who had been sat after us had their meals half eaten. I finally just put money on the table for the drinks and left. Really expected better.

Waited 30 minutes for a dessert that never came out and after complaining the first time they did not take it off our bill. It was not until we got up to leave and hunted down our waiter that we gave up. Food okay service terrible not worth it.
