ADDICTIVE. This is a hidden gem right here in Indianapolis. I’ve been frequenting this place over 30 years now. Do NOT go for the ambience. It’s a tiny little hole in the wall you would never notice just driving by. Located in a small strip mall, tucked back in the corner. There are only 2 tiny booths for inside dining. There are no fountain drinks, only a cooler with canned sodas and bottled water. They do NOT take credit or debit cards…..bring CASH. Trust me when I say bring extra cash because you will want to take some patties home with you. These patties are addictive. The patties are my favorite! They also have great jerk chicken, goat curry, sweet bread and more; however, it is a very limited menu. That being said, everything on it is good. If I had anything negative to say about the food, it would be that the coleslaw is not what my taste buds prefer. The prices are so low. The patties are only $1.25 each! I buy bags of frozen patties to take home. 10 per bag for only $11!!!! Henry will even give you parchment paper to put on your cookie sheet to bake the patties. They are available in 3 choices: mild, medium and spicy. I highly recommend the spicy, personally. Their hours are limited and they are closed Sundays. You are always greeted with a smile and treated as though you are the most important customer they have. Highly recommend.05 Nov, 2014ADDICTIVE. This is a hidden gem right here in Indianapolis. Didn’t meet expectations of the 97% rating. I was disappointed here. The prices were very reasonable, the staff was fairly friendly, but otherwise the experience was just mediocre. I had the goat curry and a patty. The patty crust reminded me of chicken pot pie. The goat curry was okay but I have had much better. I have had great experience with ethnic food lately, such as Jiallo’s and Havana Cuban Cafe, this wasn’t one of them. The patties themselves were a disappointment, and it turned me off more to see the ingredients listed on the frozen patties they sell…partially hydrogenated soybean oil (trans fat), MSG, coloring, etc.

Wonderful Find. After returning from Negril last week, I have been searching for a spot with authentic curried goat and Jamaican patties. Here I found both! I showed up at 10:15am, so they were barely open, but they provided a box full of patties, a fresh loaf of bread, and curried goat with rice and peas for less than $20! The food was spicy, but not too much so, and the bread was fresh out of the oven and just nothing short of wonderful. The place is small, but perfect for carryout, and the people were very kind. The hot sauce was also exactly how I remembered. A little gem that is tucked away off of Allisonville, take the time to find it! Authentic and tasty, quick and cheap. Extremely happy right now!
