Wonderful lunch and self tour. My friend and I loved the lunch. Excellent food and tea. Service was excellent. I am going to bring my aunt here for lunch as she loves tea rooms and a feeling of going back in time ( a time that was hers when she was young). Beautiful building.

MYSTERY DINNER. I LOVED the mystery dinner event. Great fun!! Had an excellent opportunity to get lost in some clues and try to puzzle out a who done it. Met some new couples, and enjoyed working with strangers who opened up and we all joked about the mystery and shared a bit of our lives with each other. It was a neat experience. My schedule is so busy and I really enjoyed getting lost for 2 hours in a story. Food was good. Don’t drink wine so I can’t comment. Tea was adequate. Talked with the owner awhile and she sure does put alot of herself into all of this. Neat lady. I recommend it to anyone who can try a new thing. If you don’t like people and you just want to be entertained by someone else, you can get that anywhere but here. Can’t wait to go back myself!

I don’t know about the teas but I also attended a event an art and chard HORRIBLE. Upon checking in we were invited to take a tour of the house very nice. We were given a intro with a the history of the house short and sweet and then the food started coming out. Salad was ok but the entree sucked saved face with the dessert. But once the owner arrived she again gave another introduction of the house which was long winded. Then the art started really qtips for the brush and pieces of paper they could have at least gave us a canvas and besides that the artists personal hygiene was not up to par. The only good things were the servers and the bar save your money people

Get ready for a rip off!. My mother invited me, last minute, to the Propylaeum Tea Room for afternoon tea to join her and my ten-year-old niece. I am on a special diet, so I was only going to be drinking tea. I wasn’t surprised they charged by the person, but I am surprised that they absolutely would not budge on charging us $18.95 for me to drink, seriously, one cup of tea. The server was nowhere to be found to ask any questions or get any service at all, even though she had a total of two tables. She said she brewed the tea that she liked the most which were Amaretto something and strawberry, both black flavored teas. Well, whatever she served us was literally the same tea, which tasted like cigarette butts put out in hot water. When we did see the server, she was boringly familiar with us and advertised events for the Propyleaum. Flies were buzzing all around us and landing on the prepacked, low quality desserts and Kroger bread sandwiches. What a bargain at $18 a person! I left hungry and angry, with a staunch resolution to never return. Nice building, though.

Nightmare Service. Do not dine at this place. Awful rip off. Ignore the groupon coupon thing and skip to another local place. Totally over valued. Food was lacking, wine was nothing special and the art instruction was .. well I wouldn’t call this a place to learn anything significant. The ONLY great thing about the Propylaeum is the PROPYLAEUM ITSELF!

I had an all-day executive team meeting with our consultant. We are a small group and needed a nice room and food. The Propylaeum was perfect. Coffee, juice and muffins for the morning. A very tasty lunch, with almost too much food and then home made pastries and chocholate covered strawberries in the afternoon. Everyone was helpful and it was a Great Day. I will be back.
