It was a really fun place! My kids loved watching them make the ice cream with the liquid nitrogen. The flavors and mixing were yummy and there was a wide variety.
I am an ice cream snob. I love having it all year. This is the got to place whenever I am on Mass Ave. My only regret was not knowing about them and having them at my wedding! Love the concept and it’s the only place that has pumpkin ice cream all year around!!!
Cool Science and good flavor!. Gotta love the gimmick! Using cool 6th grade science, this place is the draw to make actually great tasting ice cream! Loved it!
So many choices. Been here a few times now, and have enjoyed each experience. They have what seems like an endless list of possible combinations, and each of the ones I’ve had have been delicious. Having said that, it seems like you’re paying more for a gimmick than the ice cream itself. The use of liquid nitrogen is cool and all, but I’m not sure that it justifies the prices of what you get. It seems to melt fast, so be sure to eat it quick. At the end of the day, you’re still getting a good treat from them. There’s a flavor choice for everyone, even some good low-calorie options. If you’re walking down Mass Ave and are looking for some dessert to follow dinner, give them a shot.
Subzero is delicious. It is such a friendly atmosphere and the ice cream is the best. You can pretty much have any flavor you desire. I will definitely go back.

Very COOL concept. Yogurt and ice cream fixed right in front of you with liqiud nitrogen. Science never has been so sweet. Very friendly manager/owner and crew.
