Love the Osiris Pale Ale and Cream ale. Dropped in over the weekend from Cincinnati. Place was packed with people. As an avid home brewer, I was shocked to see they were serving free samples of an experimental/seasonal beer (cant remember name) that smelled and tasted contaminated of mold (smelled like swamp water) that should have been dumped in my opinion. Anyways, you can sample almost all the beer there for free. Like I said the Osiris Pale Ale and Cream Ale is a solid beer
My husband is hugely into local craft beers, Sun King being number 1… We went there for his Birthday, took the tour, got 2 Growlers of Osiris (his favorite – currently) and a pint glass (which is only $5, great deal! I was anticipating more) and only spent around $25, so not bad at all. The tour was pretty cool, learned something’s I didn’t know. Now that he has the growlers we will definitely come back on Fridays to fill up.. Cheaper than going to a liquor store that marks there’s up!
Every friday night!. This year i started a tradition with my beautiful wife…we drive to Sun King and hang in the tasting room and try their new brews before we fill our growlers and go home. ashley i love you more! and these evenings i spend with you are more valuable than all of the beer in this brewery! thank you for the years and years of love:)
Pretty bummed…. That you got rid of the bitter druid as one of your house beers imho you shoulda canned it.24 Jun, 2011Lol not a restaurant but…. A great place to go on a friday after a long hard day. You can get up to 6 samples with usually someone giving away their tickets. Growler refills are pretty reasonable as well. Love the Wee Mac.
Best local brew in town, make sure to stop in and sample frequently since the speciality beers change often!! My favorite start to a Friday night!!
Excellent. Affable patrons milling around talking about beer. Sweet, knowledgeable beer geeks serving excellent brew. It is a perfect place. And it is not even a restaurant. Highly recommended.
Not a restaurant, but…. The tasting room is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They have 4 beers that are house beers (Wee Mac, Cream Ale, Osiris Pale, and Bitter Druid ESB). The growlers are only $5 for refills on Friday for the house beers. They occasionally have seasonals (IPA, wheat, etc). All of the beers are well made, and enjoyable. The tasting room is particularly busy on Friday evenings, which offers some great people-watching. Note: one can taste the beers on the premsis or get beer to take out.
