    Blah food and worse service. Dressed up bland food that looks and sounds great but is bland. Service is horrible.

    Awful. Service could not have been slower – 1 1/2 hours for two salads that had absolutely no flavor. Ordered dessert, foolishly. Waited 25 minutes for it to arrive. finally cancelled the order and asked for the check. Dessert magically showed up and was on the check. What a waste of time. Second visit – not going back.

    It has been a couple of years since I ate at Taste and it was my favorite breakfast place when we used to frequent this part of town on Saturday mornings. This morning’s experience was terrible. I was the first customer of the morning and it still took over 25 minutes for my Strata to come! And, it was so grease laden that it was collapsing under its own weight. The pesto on top lacked freshness. The home fries were good if a bit greasier than I remember. Guess this explains why at 45 minutes after opening, there is one other customer in the dining room. The menu may be the same, but the customer experiences at this place is not!

    What has happened? This formerly good restaurant was a huge disappointment today. Breakfast took 45 min to get any food . Only one dish was served and the next one didn’t ‘t come for 10min. The waffles were sour and unpleasant. The omelette was very good. Overall, our assessment was something is amiss in the kitchen . I hope they get it straightened out.

    So good….sometimes I dream about the special waffle at night! Try one of their tarts too if you’re in the mood for something sweet….mmmm!

    Wish they would fix the service :-(. My husband and I had a great experience the first time we ate here. However, the second time did not go well. And, after reading the reviews below, it seems that our second experience was more the norm than or first.We sat at the community table, which was very crammed with people. However, we did not have reservations, so our bad. We waited for our waitress for a long while and thankfully ordered at that time (If we had waited, I can’t imagine how long dinner would’ve taken). My husband ordered a beer, which was flat. I got tea, but was not offered sweetener. Luckily, we were sitting next to the waiter station, so I could get up and get my own. When our appetizer salad finally arrived, we realized we had never been given silverware. Again, luckily we were near that waiter station so that we could help ourselves. When I finally got someone to bring me a tea refill it came with no ice (and of course, I helped myself to the sweetener again). Next came the fries. However, we almost didn’t get them because the runner could not figure out whose they were. The same thing happened when we finally got our main course. I got a tartine that was supposed to have brie on it, but did not. If the waitress had had the time to ask us how are meal was going, I would have told her. Instead, I just ate without complaint. I did feel very bad for the waiters, because they seemed to be running around and struggling to keep the room under control. Several groups at the restaurant were clearly getting frustrated. The cherry on top of the meal was when we were leaving. The waitress thanked us for being patient with her. Then she laughed as she took bunch of dirty dishes and set them on the community table where other people were still eating and said she was just going to put them there so someone else would have to pick them up! For a 75 dollar meal, the entire experience was very unprofessional and disappointing.

    Bravo!. Thank you, Taste, for giving me the food experience I’ve been longing for since moving here a few months ago. It was simply done yet so delectable. I’m looking forward to coming here again!
