Not worth the parking effort. Smoked Pork Chop with Carmel Apple that tasted like battery acid. Our server was great, no issues at all with the staff. The food leaves much to be desired. Over priced for awful food. We will not be back.
Warm inviting atmosphere. I had the Rainbow Trout and my friends had the Tomahawk Pork Chop and Filet Meatloaf. Everyone enjoyed the food. The trout was moist and tasty. Both it and the mashed potatos were underseasoned for my taste but we’re still good. Great service. Very nice selection of beers and cocktails.
Great place! I ate here on Thursday evening with a large group. We had great service, the food was served very fast and it was excellent! I would definitely eat here again!
Not ready for MNF. Arrived at restaurant at 5:45 pm. Signed up for table with hostess telling us wait was 35 minutes. Finally seated 1 hour and 35 minutes later. We would have gone elsewhere if the estimated wait time would have been accurate. Expressed to host who seated us the length of our wait and he was rude and argumentative. Waited additional 20 minutes with no menus. Took 15 minutes to get drinks and had to insist the waiter take our food order. Left at 8:15 pm. Won’t be back. Understaffed, unprepared and poorly trained especially for MNF.
Eat elsewhere. We are here last week. We got there cost to closing time than we ordinarily would have. Who would think that a restaurant downtown with Tavern in the name would close at 9:00? The outdoor seating the was by far the best feature. The service was extremely rushed, the crab cakes were warm, not hot. The beef tenderloin liked like it had been stomped on. The sea bass was very good, but not nearly good enough to over come desert being served before the entre was finished. Not just padres not cleared, we went fine eating dinner. We were disappointed and won’t go back.
Horrible Experience. Had a burger today on my first & LAST visit to Tavern on South.1. It was way undercooked and tasted very ordinary2. I asked to speak with the manager and a guy name Steve, who I assume is the owner, came to our table and was extremely sarcastic and flat out rude to us when we spoke negatively about our burger. If you’re going to run a restaurant are not able to cook a simple hamburger as requested then either get out of the restaurant business or at least learn some common sense and don’t get snippy when it’s brought to your attention by a customer.
The place looked really cool from the outside, but we were not completely satisfied with the food or the service.
