Love this place!. We recently saw Freddy Cole at The Jazz Kitchen and it was a wonderful evening for our entire group. The food was good and Freddy’s performance was outstanding. We especially liked the fact that the owner, David, came to his customer’s tables after the show to get feedback on the evening. A good sign that he runs a good establishment and wants his customer’s to have a great experience. The Jazz Kitchen does attract some outstanding musicians and the food tastes good too!
First Timers. Good food, great bands, bring cash for the door cover charge (or go on a free night). We went there for a ‘date night’, so we ordered appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks, and spent $70 before tip and door cover charge, so we couldn’t afford to jazz daily, but it was a great place to do something different!!
$$$$$Not good at all better bring $70.00 each. We were looking for something sexy and smooth …..something different !I guess we found the something different! A money trap!!!!!!!!The prices were way out of line and there is a cover charge.. I believe that if there is a cover they are hiding something ! And they were , the 10.00 cover And the over 15.00 starter meals and the expensive drinks and a band that was NOT good at all ! .You will be paying for a small venu visit, bad food, expensive drinks , bad music. Guess that’s y everyone had water all it was, was you are in broad ripple!!!!!
Cocktails were delicious.. We each had 2 different cocktails and all 4 were very good. The lemon chicken was very good. He had the Walnut Salmon which was AMAZING. Four and a half out of five stars.
Here for The Bad Plus show. Had the not so cajun chicken. If you are looking for a real kick, tell them to kick it up a notch. Otherwise, this dish is alive with flavor, gets better with each bite. Also had the Jamaican Patties, the red sauce was fiery and smooth, the tomatoes popped in my mouth. Would make an amazing ketchup. I WILL be back to try out their other fabled dishes.
Wonderful evening. Staff was very courteous, and the food was excellent! I recommend the Not So Cajun Chicken, and the Blueberry Bread Pudding! Band was great as well!
Great food and good entertainment. I visited this past Tuesday for my first time ever as part of Chowdown Midtown. Swing night on Tuesday’s attracted an older crowd, almost geriatric I would say. However, the food was fantastic and I thought the entertainment was pretty good too. The place isn’t cheap, so I would’ve expected some nicer chairs on the inside. All the chairs are the type you’d expect to see in a church basement. Other than that, no complaints. Service was excellent. If you get dessert, I highly recommend the brownie decadence.
