I’d say the best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. I absolutely loved the feel of this place and this is perfect for date night. The food however was forgettable and not something that wow’d me or set it apart. I’m not a huge Jazz fan so the music was also pretty dull to me and not something that i found inspiring. If you are a Jazz fan though than this is your best spot in Indy. The music just isn’t my thing and I find it a bit boring. Overall this is worth checking out and a unique experience at least.
A Wonderful evening and a Tasty Meal!. I went here Saturday Evening to see Steve Cole. I highly recommend this place for all reasons: Jazz, Food, and the Service! I ordered the Egg Plant Tower and it was delicious! My partner and I were impressed. We will be back for more Jazz, but regardless, the food was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.
The Jazz Kitchen and Icarus Rock. Just returned from a wonderful evening of jazz at the Jazz Kitchen. Icarus (local group of piano, violin, sax/bassoon/clarinet, drums, bass) was performing, and they were outstanding! This was the 4th time we’ve been to the Jazz Kitchen, and I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write a review. We usually go on Monday nights when Icarus plays. On Mondays there are dinner specials, and the food has always been superb! Even without the great jazz they offer, this place is becoming a go-to place just for the food alone. As much as we love Icarus, we now want to branch out and start going on other nights to hear some of the other jazz offerings.
