Damn. Finally got to try Little Eataly at First Friday. I had the Fig and Pig, which is prosciutto, fresh sliced mozzarella, basil, and fig butter on buttered grilled Italian bread. This sandwich is the bomb guys. Great salty hammy flavor tempered by the creamy mozzarella and sweet fig, with the richness cut by herby basil. I tried hard not to inhale it. It’s a simple sandwich done well. Can’t wait to try the zucchini they have and their Italian beef!
Made plans with my coworkers and friends to come to the Park 100 food truck clustertruck…because of Little Eataly’s presence on flyers and advertisements—including their own Twitter account. Got to the clustertruck to find they decided not to show up. Thoroughly irresponsible and a very poor business plan to advertise you are somewhere and then not show up.
Good food, horrible customer consideration. They pack up early at venues you have to pay to get into and then don’t show up places they say they are. It would be one thing if they updated their twitter or Facebook to let people know what was going on but they just don’t bother. It’s just rude.
