My husband and I went there Saturday for our anniversary. It was our 1st time and we had incredible time. We sat at the bar where Joe and Teresa took very good care of us. The atmosphere, food and staff are amazing. Defiantly will be back.
Over Priced and Bad Service. I went on a Friday night which I know is a busy time so I was patient, but our waitress was pretty rude. After my friends and I had a few drinks I went to give her my card and asked if I could pay for one of my friend’s drink to put on my tab and she immediately snapped back at me and gave some excuse as to why she could not do that. Then to make things worse she tried to charge me for a $10 drink I didn’t even order. I was nothing but nice to her so I couldn’t understand why all this was happening. I understand mistakes are made but I was disappointed in the service and the unfriendliness of our waitress. They also have live bands there which is cool but the acoustics aren’t really set up for it so it’s very loud and echoey and hard to have conversations with people. The place itself looks pretty cool but everything is pretty pricey, average mixed drink is about $8-10 and our waitress said they never do drink specials. Definitely was not worth what I paid considering the service
Great atmosphere and great food. I had the mussels and they were spectacular. My husband had the espresso rubbed pork and loved it as well. Outdoor patio option too.
Dined at Union 50 for the second time this evening. The food was delicious, but drinks were overpriced. Our server, Tim, was friendly and informative. I am sad to say we were greeted at the end of our meal with false pretenses. We were approached about the quality of our meal – of which we only had positive feedback. We then were informed our table was being cleared to make room for another party – despite several other open tables. I was still finishing my drink but received the distinct impression I was being asked to hurry and leave to make room for another group. Disappointing to say the least. Unsure of our future patronage due to this experience.16 Aug, 2014Dined at Union 50 this evening for the second time. The food has been im
Fun evening! Great Food! Great service!. We went here last Friday for drinks, and an appitizers. It is a great spot to people watch, and the service was super fast, and cordial. I ordered the poutine with avacado and it was very tasty. The bartenders definately know their drinks! We will go back; highly recommend this place !!!!!
Best Buildout in Indy. Best room by a mile and a half in Indy. Buildout of an old union hall is brilliant. San Francisco or London or Miami equivalent. Chrystal clear sound system w live music. Mussels w Spanish chorizo and roasted fingerlings hit of the meal, but we only shared 4 things. Salad average at best, soup ok and pork dish odd. Here’s hoping the food can do justice to the most interesting restaurant space in town.
We visited last night for a birthday dinner celebration. The restaurant is very swanky but laid back (ski ball!) and very comfortable and open. I got the Salmon Lox with pickled onion, cucumber and horseradish. It was very very flavorful and light/summery. My date got the espresso porter BBQ pork which had great flavor and depth (and also a nice bit if heat). We also got duck fat fries with the house ketchup and spicey mustard. Everything was phenomenal (including the service from our friendly waiter). After dinner, we had a couple of cocktails at the bar. The bar was very impressive and the bartenders seemed very knowledgable.
