The food is generally pretty good, but some of it is not so good. The house fried rice was bland and fairly tasteless. The house special lomein is the best I have ever had. Odd how they can be so good on one dish and so far off on another.

Good food usually very fast and the prices are great. Not the best I’ve ever had but better than most. We live nearby and order order a couple of times a month

Average food, average prices. Ordered takeout with the family, including Szechuan chicken, general tso’s chicken, and a simple chicken vegetable stir fry. Sauces were bland and lacked depth. Vegetables were overcooked. Rice was too wet and mushy. On the plus side, service was fast, prices were good, and portions were large. Definitely not the worst Chinese food I’ve had, but I’ll keep looking for my go-to place.

Give it a shot. I live close by and for the longest time didn’t try Zheng’s because of it’s sketchy exterior and usually empty parking lot. However, this place was a really good surprise. I called in my order and by the time I walked down there, it was ready to be picked up (10 min). The food is the standard Chinese take-out food that you’d find at most other Chinese places around town. A pint of sweet and sour chicken with a small side of white rice was under $5. The guy who took my order over the phone was a bit gruff (no greeting, no goodbye), but I’m willing to overlook that for its good prices and proximity to my place. I wouldn’t suggest eating in. There were only a couple of small tables that were really close to the counter.

Delicious Food, Scary Restaurant. This place doesn’t even have a dining area, just a counter and a menu board – which is fine because it’s location is less than welcoming. The prices are cheap, the food is delicious, and the staff are generally friendly and efficient – when there’s not a line.I’ve looked all over the city for some good chicken fried rice, and this is the best I’ve had so far.

Fantasic Food..Truly. I always feel bad for paying as little as they charge for what they give you. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The owner is always taking orders and it’s definately a family affair. The food is truly the best take-out in Indy…I know of no other place that takes the time to carefully place all of your broccolli in a neat little row. 🙂 It’s obvious that presentation is also imprtant to them, which is a rare thing with take-out. Highly recommended!!!
