Horrible experience. Went in to eat at this new restaurant, it was a nice looking place with a great view. But I soon realized that I will never go back. I was seated at a table by the window, as I walked over a sticky floor. The silverware was nasty, my water glass had lipstick still on it! I ordered a $22 dish (the Paella) that tasted like it was 3 weeks old. It was advertised as shrimp, calamari and mussels. I got ONE shrimp. I also noticed the table next to me, who ordered an appetizer…it was the smallest portion I have ever seen. I do not recommend this place at all.
Lunch at Olive Leaf. Service was great, relaxed but prompt. We’ve found a new restaurant and love it. Had pizza first time, with wine. Very tasty, crust couldn’t be any crustier. BEST crust I had eaten in a long time. The next week, salmon for my partner and tilapia with rice (capers and olives, etc.) for me. Everything was right. The tiramasu is the best we’ve had since Italy….chocolate mousse is extra silky. Give this place a try….you will come back !
Great Lunch!. Walked across the big 4 bridge and had a lovely lunch on the porch at Olive Leaf. Nice view of river and short walk from Jeffersonville side of bridge. Had the chicken and veggies which was very good. Others had the hummus and baba ganouch. Everyone was happy with their meal. Food seemed very authentic. Family owned business and seemed to care about providing great service.
OLB Patio. Stopped in for a quick lunch two weeks ago and had the best Baba Ghanoush with my lunch so I decided to go back the following week to check out the dinner menu. Of course, I ordered more Baba Ghanoush and it was excellent! Ordered the Tortellini alla Michelangelo, upon the servers suggestion, and it was delish! Service was great and I will definitely be back….soon! The view from the patio overlooks the river and it’s perfectly located near the River Stage and the Big Four Bridge!
The food does not outshine the terrible terrible service! Wish I would have saved my money. Don’t go here!!
Good, has some kinks to work out I think. I went with my significant other on a Sunday evening, they just opened within past 1-2 weeks. We sat on the patio which has nice river view. They bring pita bread with olive oil and seasoned to the table, but I thought it had a bit of a stale taste to it, so not impressed with it. I had a vodka cocktail which was okay. The drink prices seem reasonable, some restaurants in town have cocktails in double digits which gets a bit ridiculous so a drink for $7 isn’t too bad. They have several local beers on tap also which is nice. Our server seemed a little young and inexperienced, we had to ask for silverware after our food had been served to us already. I had salmon and I did really like it, was slightly burnt on one end, but that did not bother me. My companion had the chicken kabobs he liked them. Portions were not huge though for either dish, but satisfying. The menu is very extensive and anyone should find something they like on it.
