Excellent authentic Chinese cuisine. I had the Chengdu Style Spicy Chicken and I tasted favors I had never tasted before! The peppers leave a sort of numbing sensation on the tongue. The most interesting dish I have ever eaten. Highly recommended.
Seems very authentic, perhaps the most authentic Chinese food I’ve ever had. But then I’ve never been to China. If you’re gaijin they’ll give you the standard American/Chinese menu. If they do and you’re feeling adventurous ask for the other menu. It’s in English (as well as Chinese) and has pictures of most of the dishes. 26 Oct, 2013Perhaps the best Asian food I have ever had.

Already Looking Forward to a Return to Nanking!. My husband and I ran an errand close to Nanking yesterday evening and decided to try them. I read several positive reviews of Nanking that piqued my interest. It was a quiet rainy night with only two other parties there. As another reviewer said, there are two menus – Americanized Chinese and traditional Chinese dishes. When our server noticed we were reading the traditional menu, she brought a picture menu for us and then answered questions about them. She was very friendly and helpful.I ordered the pork and soft noodle dish and a pot of tea. My husband had fish. They were both wonderful. The sauces complimented the food flavors. Service was fast but again there were just a few parties there.When we return, we will remember that portions are very generous. I felt I had to reassure the server that the dinner was excellent because I left more than half the noodles (but not the pork and sauce). The dinner entree prices are very reasonable, by the way.Another reviewer commented that the place is hard to find. It is hard to find and hard to get to since you have to use an access road off of 26. It is definitely worth looking up. Added to the fact that we were looking for the spot was the rain and darkness of the night. We spotted their sign and figured out how to get there finally.The restaurant itself is large capacity, so take your friends and family. Lunch specials are $5.95.
NanKing. This is a great place to eat!! Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Huge portions. This is not a buffet but with the portions who needs a buffet. If you love Chinese you won’t be disappointed.
