Been numerous times to the ones in Chicago and Northern Indiana, and this one is no different. Fresh and super hot and always a good value. It’s cooked to order so you will have a wait, and all you will need is some fries,slaw and some of there sauce. Chicken is what they do, and this is the legitimate flavor of Harolds from Chicago.
This is a franchise of the famous Harold’s Chicken of Chicago. My wife says the food is just like she remembers from Chicago. No frills great food. Fried chicken is moist and tender with a crisp, non greasy breading. Rich creamy mac&cheese. Super spicy fried green tomatoes. Tangy sweet cole slaw. Peppery fried catfish. Flaky flesh with a non greasy crisp breading. Huge portions small price: a GREAT value plus the owner, Jesse, is super friendly. A real gem which exceeded my expectations and satisfied my wife’s pleasant memories.

I ordered 2 whiting fish dinners, they cost 10.00 and you get two side… when i got home to eat, I had two pieces of fish and one of mysides beans and rice my rice was over cooked Very mushy.The mac and cheese taste like celery my friend said… will never eat here again for 10 bucks i was disappointed.. should of stuck with what iknow shrimp hut , country kitchen or jordans!!!!
