So when it comes to other Mexican restaurants in the entire city of Indianapolis it’s nothing but refried beans from a can and sad looking underseasoned food.. Until we ate at Mi Tenampa.. The Guadalajara special is a massive plate of enchiladas, one taco, and a couple of the most delicious sides I’ve eaten in a while. One of the side items was a cheesy spinach sauce that was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time that came alongside some cheesy potato creation that I couldn’t identify in part because I devoured it so quickly and there was none left.. The spinach cream sauce also comes on a house burrito special that I will be ordering next time. This giant plate of food came out with a warning that the plate was extremely hot, which is a claim many restaurants make via a food runner but is often not the case. This enormous piping hot plate of delicious food only costs $9.99!!!! How it is not packed everyday is a mystery to me. I also had the fresh made to order guac which was spot on, as well as an order of tamales with beans and rice that I ate every bite of.. Beans well seasoned and rice perfectly cooked.. Long story short, go here and enjoy the incredible food! Best Mexican food I’ve had since my last trip to Cabo San Lucas!! To the owner and staff of Mi Tenampa I say great job on my fantastic meal!! I will definitely be back soon.
