My family and I go here every time we’re in Indy! Excellent place. Excellent food. Excellent service. The owners are very nice and friendly too! I’m shocked the ratings aren’t as high as thought it would be. Definitely 5 stars!!!
Not worth it!. With my family and myself being huge seafood and sushi fanatics, we were excited about trying out Formosa. We were sorely disappointed. California rolls made with shrimp? You serve crab why would your California rolls have shrimp? The crab legs that were on the buffet tasted like they had been sitting in dirty water for a long time. The sushi was dry, and didn’t have any flavor. The best part of the restaraunt was the hibachi grill and the service (which was excellent) . We will not be back, it was not worth the price. We could have gone to a hibachi sushi bar for less and ate way better!
Not again! I’m praying I don’t get food poisoning from the sushi! I love sushi and this was nastiest sushi I’ve ever had! The rice was dry (sitting out half a day?!), it all tasted the same…I spit one out in a napkin b/c it tasted soured. The waitress was nice….but the guy who seated us and the cashier were rude! Unless you like crab legs ( which I don’t) this place is nowhere near worth $16!!! $8 maybe! A huge selection, yes, but quality was like any cheap Chinese buffet and they had no vegetables in any of the meat dishes. You had do the salad bar or Mongolian to get veggies!!
I think this place is great.service was great.food was great. Very large amount of different kinds. Very fresh and tender, we were well taken care of from start to finish
Food is fresh and the sushi is way better then The Journey… anyone who eats sushi can tell the quality is way above the rest.
I’m not sure seafood buffet is an adequate description. Lobster is tiny, and over cooked. Sushi looks somewhat better than normal chinese buffet sushi, but I didn’t try any after employee in sushi area dropped glove on floor picked it up, put it on and continued to prepare food. Crab legs and hot an sour soup were actually good. Very limited other selections on hot bar. Not worth coming visit your local Chinese carry out you’ll be better off.
Frequent Shoppers. We go here regularly and normally for lunch. The place is amazing. The service depends on your server. Some of them are nice some of them are just there. I’ve never had one that didn’t keep my table clean and my drinks full. You can’t always ask for a smile. I always enjoy getting Justin as my server because he smiles and is very nice. They have a lot of choices and the atmosphere is gorgeous. Not much to look at on the inside but when you enter it will catch you off guard. It’s a great place for family and kids. They don’t have a huge American cuisine choice but there is something for everyone there.
