Highly recommended. This is by far one of my favorite places in Indy. We always sit at the sushi bar, so I cannot speak to the steakhouse portion. The decor is very dated, but the sushi is absolutely delicious and very affordable. Dolan is our favorite sushi chef. The ginger salad dressing is as good as all the other reviews have stated.
My favorite Japanese. Ginza was my first exposure to Japanese steakhouse food. It quickly became my favorite. I’ve been to many of the japanese steakhouses around here and Ginza for some reason is still my favorite. They don’t have the nice decor of some of the newer restaurants, and they don’t have some of the more exotic menu items, but what they do, they do well. Even things as simple as their salad. Their salads are ice cold and the dressing is the best anywhere. and that’s before you even get to the meal. Oh, and did I mention they are one of the cheaper japanese steakhouses out there? I know they’re in a kind of bad area, but it’s worth it.
My family and I have been going to Ginza to enjoy their fabulous sushi for the past 5 years. Since the restaurant is now under new ownership the size and quality of the sushi has drastically declined. Today 3 of us went for lunch and we ordered 5 different rolls, plus some nigiri and sashimi. All of the rolls and the nigiri were mostly rice. The fish was cut soon thin and small you could hardly tell what you were eating. Anyone that eats sushi can tell you that it is expensive and I am used to spending quite a bit of money because we love sushi. However, we will no longer go to Ginza. There are much better sushi places around town that serve high quality sushi with nice cuts of fish for the same price. Save your time and go to Narita or Sakura. I think even Kroger has better sushi than Ginza now! Sorry new Ginza owners, we gave you several chances.
One Of My Favorite Places To Dine. I have been going to Ginza for yrs & its one of my favorite out of 3 places to dine in Indy. The food is great and my favorite chef is Pee Wee. I just celebrated my brithday there with friends & family. It’s not as fancy as some Japanese/Sushi places but trust me you will love the food and enjoy the service and entertainment. The salad dressing they use is so different. Never had any like it. Very tasty! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
I love the salad dressing!. This is by far my favorite Japanese steakhouse in Indy, Yeah the location pretty much sucks, but the food tastes great and is cheap. I am a huge sushi fan, and I love their soft shell crab sushi. The chefs are funny, and remember who you are. And Yes I love their salad dressing, it is my favorite. I even dip my sushi in it.
This place is great! The building could use a little TLC, but the food and staff make up for it. I have been eating here for over 20 years and highly recommend anyone that enjoys Japanese food to give it a try.
Okay. This place was alright but not excellent. We got sushi. It was pretty good, albeit a bit overpriced. I also felt like the staff didn’t know their product that well, like we would ask what an item was and they wouldn’t know. Our waitress was also super passive-agressively rude. Another one that brought us ice cream was super nice, though. I probably wouldn’t go here if I knew of better places.
