I decided to pop into Lulu’s for a cup of coffee. I’ve been back almost every day since. Love the staff, the coffee, the scones, the quiche, and the Chicken Enchilada soup is the best soup I’ve ever tried. I’ve never been disappointed by the food or the service. We have had them cater our office gatherings and they are timely and the food is always fantastic. If you’ve never been to Lulu’s, you really need to give it a go. You’ll be back.P.S. You should see the pies. Whoa.
My friend and I had breakfast sandwiches that neither of us finished. The eggs were hard and tasted like cardboard. I had a Muddy Irishman that was gaggingly sweet. Someone else may have liked it lots more than I did. The service was cheerful and speedy though. It’s not particularly comfortable to sit at tall tables, so I don’t understand why they are full of them. Maybe it’s a better place for lunch than breakfast, but I’m not inclined to find out.
I went for lunch today. I’m a self-proclaimed coffee snob as I’ve worked as a barista. This place makes really wonderful coffee (you can purchase it as well) and the food is really good. I like that I have the option of having fresh fruit and vegetables. I’m allergic to citric acid so most restaurants following the fresh fad I cannot eat due to my allergy. I really like this place and I’ll definitely be back.
Everything is fresh and made to order. The BEST iced coffee I’ve ever had! Pies in glass pie plates so everyone will think you are a great baker 😉 scones are wonderful too! Local business owned by great people!
Want a great coffee habit…try Lulu’s!. Lulu’s is a fantastic place to hang out with a friend and grab great coffee. I’m proud to say that Lulu’s has been a part of my social life, and now professional life for the last 10 years as I graduated from Brebeuf and returned as a counselor. One more item to note-their lunches are to die for, especially the Veggie Wrap. I bet if you try it once, you’ll end up going back for more!
Great Greek Salad. I had a great little Greek salad at Lulu’s last week. What made it good was simply that the lettuce was really fresh–I mean, REALLY fresh, like maybe someone just picked it in the back yard and ran it under a hose. A simple thing, but sadly rare in even some of the better known places around town. Tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced olives, a little feta, and a packaged vinaigrette: unpretentious, quick, and inexpensive. I got a little hummus, too, which seemed to be homemade and made me very happy.Fran got a turkey sandwich, again very simple, which he said tasted like what we would make at home–and that is a compliment. It came with some raw baby carrots instead of a handful of greasy chips. How nice is that?
Nothing special. Had the quiche. Little comfortable seating.
