If you can get over the small language barrier and they fact that they are rarely ever open on the hours that are posted, they food is actually really good. You can order anything with different levels of spiciness and their curry dishes are fantastic.

Robbers!!!. This was a horrible experience. my husband and I went on a lunch date, the server ignored us for twenty mins after seating us and i had to wave to get her attention and for her to come to us, she wiped the table, took our order and then disappeared again did not ask about the refill of my drink food was mediocre. we intentionally did not leave a tip and when my transaction came on my card they took $2 extra for tip on their own I called them multiple times to return it initially they said they would then 2 weeks later when it was not done I called them again and they wanted me to drive there waste money in gas to get my $2 back. even though i wanted to do it electronically and send them a copy of it, No one has an email account there. out of principle I am going to do it. beware!!!!

Yum!. Wow! I seldom write reviews but, had to for this one. I haven’t had Thai food in a few years. I saw this place as I was heading to my hotel for the evening. Looked at the reviews and the posted menu, then walked over to the cafe to place my order. I wanted Chicken Satay…they were out. Second choice: Chicken wings…out. Settled for Yum Nur ( beef #11) . They had that. Some people would be upset by now but I figured the food was so good they must sell out fast. I was right! The lady was so apologetic about not having the first choices. She even apologized that I would have to wait a very long time to get my dinner (15-20 minutes). I’m used to walk-ins at my normal restaurants taking 45-60 minutes. When I returned after nearly 20 min of window shopping ( the liquor store 2 doors down is loaded with great dinner companions – though I opted for a 2ltr of Mountain Dew) I returned to see my take-out waiting for me. Wish I had time to sit and enjoy – it was a great place! Can’t wait til the next trip this way.

Great Pad Siew! I’ve been eating his food for 13 years. Love it.

I love the place. Authentic Thai food and not some westernized interpretation. I remember the couple that own this place from Thai House on Michigan Road and they remembered me and my favorite dish (and that was over 7 years ago). I’m the recipes haven’t changed and neither have they. Friendly as ever.

Not my choice in Thai. I was first introduced to Thai only early this year by my husband and his family. However, I needed a closer restaurant to work when my craving kicked in. Unfortunately, the two times I have visited Thai Papaya, my dishes have been extremely dry (Drunken Noodles). I made sure to request additional sauce to avoid this concern but the result was just the same as my first visit…dry. If you are in the immediate area, I would highly suggest Sawsadee which can be found on 86th Street. You should not be disappointed!
