  • Service was fantastic!! Fried wontons were hot, but could've had more meat! Steak pho was hot, which was good, but hated that it was so bland I needed…

  • Unrare beef Pho. Ordered the Rare Beef and Brisket Pho. The beef, probably under an ounce of meat, was a uniform grey. The rest of the Pho was decent …

Going back again & again!. I love Viet Bistro. Their fresh spring rolls are the sh*t – something hard to find on the north side of Indy, Pho’s delicious, hot & sour soup is a nice surprise and the wait staff are amazing! Do your self a favor & check this place out!

Viet Bistro #1. We love this place! We’re new to Indy and disappointed not to see more Vietnamese restaurants here, but delighted to have found this. The food and service have been very good every time, and the prices reasonable.

WORST SERVICE EVERY. My BF and I went to Viet Bistro for the first time on Saturday, February 16th. They were packed but we were able to get a table by the window. It took somone 20 minutes to take our order. We ordered drinks (Root beer and Vietnamese beer) appetizers (fried wonton and spring rolls) and our entrees (seafood and rice clay pot and pan fried noodles with chicken) We received our drinks 20-30 minutes after we placed our order. The appetizers came out 20 minutes after that and our entrees, about 10 minutes later. There were several tables that were unbused and according to my BF, the bathroom was atrocious. Although the food was ok, no one should have to wait that long for serivce. I will stick to King Wok II and KT deli for my vietnamese food fix.

Would not return to this restaurant. I dined in on sunday night and what a disappointment. Arrived at 7:45pm and no one was in the restaurant. After dining I understood why no one was there. I am here visiting from Houston, Texas and dine frequently at Vietnameese restaurants. The spring rolls at Viet Bistro were the worst I have ever had. I have been eating viet spring rolls since 1980 so I know what I am talking about. An order in Houston, Texas at a restaurant comparable to Viet Bistro is 6 for $3.95, here 2 for $3.95. I had to ask twice for lettuce and mint leaves and cucumbers which should be served with fried spring rolls along with the fish sauce. The fish sauce was tasteless and the serving was 2 tablespoons. I received 2 thin slices of lettuce and cilantro was substituted for mint leaves and no cucumbers at all. I ordered #60 on the menu (Vermicelli with grilled pork) and this as well was terrible. The grilled pork can be best described as dried pork fat. The bowl was toppled with vermicelli and I had to shuffle the vermicelli to find the vegetables and dried pork fat. I will never return to this restaurant and I would never recommend this restaurant. What a shame! Vietnameese food is very delicious and this restaurant mocks the name it displays above their door. Visit Houston, Texas and eat at one of the hundreds of Vietnameese restaurants so you can appreciate the fine cuisine of this nation. Another note, North and South Vietnameese cuisine is different and the waitress seemed bewildered when I asked which menu items were South Vietnameese.

Good food. It small but the food is pretty good. I had their spring rolls and their shrimp lotus dish. If you like pickle daikon then you would love this dish. The Pho Dac Biet (noodle soap) tasted fresh while the ingredient was also good. It is not for everyone. If you are knowledgeable of Vietnamese food then this place is great. If you are not, try the pork chop if they have it. With any restaurant, everyone needs to take baby steps. 5/10

Viet Bistro is the type of place one goes if they’ve never had Vietnamese food. Small selection, yet good fast service. However if you’ve ever been to Saigon restaurants on the westside then Viet Bistro is a let down. The Pho broth was good, but there was a lack of vegetables. The carnival of flavors and scents is missing from the food here…the vercimilli and shrimp didn’t come with mint or Basil just some lettuce bean sprouts and onions…highly disappointed!!
